Can running aid creativity?

Within the last year, having been lucky enough to take part in the first Bristol to Bath Marathon, the London Marathon and the Royal Parks half Marathon, running has become an extremely important part of my life. Being a creative person, running for miles along the river Thames and through the stunning London parks is a true visual stimulator and also the perfect time for processing and developing wondering thoughts. Obviously everyone favours a different sport or activity and running is not for everyone. However, I do believe movement of any kind is the perfect de-stresser, overall, having a positive effect on the brain and body to enhance and focus your work. Running certainly has become my favoured start to the day sparking off new and exciting paper engineering ideas. With more races to take part in, more and more dramatic and impressive pop-ups are on their way!
